dc.description.abstractThere has been very little research investigating leisure boredom and risk behaviour among adolescents in South Africa. The purpose of the research reported in this thesis was to investigate how adolescents experience leisure and boredom in their free time, and how this is associated with risk behaviour - specifically substance use, sexual risk behaviour and premature school leaving (dropout).
