In this video, neuropsychologist Mark Solms describes how he sees neuroscience offering some insights into understanding how people respond to art and make aesthetic judgments. He argues that there is an underlying evolutionary explanation for these aesthetic judgements and suggests that the medical humanities can draw on other disciplinary fields in order to consider other perspectives on being human. This is the fourth video in Week 3 of the Medicine and the Arts Massive Open Online Course.en_US
