Deficient truncal postural control is said to be the main factor in the development of motor disorders, however in cerebral palsy (CP) the role of the trunk especially in lower limb function is not clearly understood. This research project aimed to investigate the role of the abdominal muscles and determine its contribution to the motor dysfunction seen in stance and during gait in children with spastic-type CP (STCP).en_ZA
