Professor Wolfe explores the foundations of astronomy, beginning with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Babylonians, to the early modern period and the works of Brahe, Kepler, Copernicus and Newton in condifying the mathematical and theoretical models that underpin modern astronomy.
