| dc.description.abstract | This unit will provide the basic introduction to MS-Excel 2013. The emphasis is on the minimum knowledge required to work productively. The next module will concentrate on more advanced Excel skills. At the end of this module, you should be able to: • Explain where spreadsheets can best be used • Identify the basic parts of a Spreadsheet • Enter labels, values, formulas and functions into a Spreadsheet • Construct simple business formulas using arithmetic operators, cell references and summation function. • Copy cells containing values and formulas. • Use relative, absolute and mixed cell references • Change values and evaluate their impact on dependent cells • Use the formatting commands to change the appearance of a spreadsheet including: inserting and deleting rows and columns, formatting numbers (currency, accounting, and percentage), aligning text and numbers, generating borders, patterns, and font colours. • Save and Print a Spreadsheet | en_ZA |
