dc.description.abstractThe aim of this thesis was to investigate the thermodynamics and the kinetics of the stripping of palladium from a typical palladium organic. The thesis firstly characterizes the thermodynamic effects of temperature and strip acid normality on the stripping of palladium and secondly investigates the kinetics of the palladium stripping reaction by exploring the effect of impeller speed and type on the overall volumetric mass transfer coefficient. which was the major focus of this thesis.en_ZA
