dc.description.abstractThis dissertation presents an investigation of the constitution of mathematics for a group of deaf learners in grades 4, 5 and 6. These learners were taught in sign language on the topics of integers, time and fractions. Four lessons were observed and video-recorded. The lessons were transcribed from sign language to English.en_ZA
