dc.description.abstractIn this video, Jabaar Mohamed, himself a Deaf person and Provincial Director of DeafSA, Western Cape, focuses on Sign Language, the Deaf culture and the Deaf Community. Drawing parallels between Deaf and deaf, he explains the need for the teacher to understand the dynamics that surround the two. He stresses on the importance of deaf schools and what teachers should know and do when teaching deaf/Deaf learners.
