dc.description.abstractThis video focuses on the withdrawal of treatment. The video discusses the many factors that affect the withdrawal of treatment. It goes on to talk about the benefits of modern medical therapies and when its in the best interests of the patient to use them. The video also provides an example of a treatment from and ICU practice that can be used for organ support. It then discusses how withdrawing or withholding treatment is not euthanasia. The video then discusses DNR orders and other end of life treatment decisions. This is video 3/5 in week 2 of the Organ Donation course.en_US
