dc.description.abstractA very simple approach is used to estimate the extent to which the amount of anchovy recruits of the year available to penguin colonies off the west coast has been reduced by historic levels of fishing. This suggests that over the past decade the extent of this reduction has at most been some 10%.en_ZA
