Abstract
Benign vocal fold lesions (BVFL) include a range of pathologies e.g. nodules, polyp(s), cyst(s), and Reinke’s oedema/chronic polypoid corditis. BVFLs represent a common cause of voice disorders, accounting for approximately 11-22% of patients presenting with dysphonia complaints. This chapter summarises the clinical management of BVFLs, including relevant anatomy, pathophysiology, and an overview of appropriate phonomicrosurgical techniques and postsurgical care.
