Abstract
The study examines sexism in siSwati school prescribed books. The study takes the view that textbooks as cultural artifacts are important in the transmission of cultural attitudes, values and ideology, and therefore influence the gendering of identities. The selected prescribed books for SecondarylHigh School level in Swaziland are investigated for discrepancies in the treatment of male and female characters.
