Abstract
This study asks what are the problems experienced by professional simultaneous interpreters in meeting professional standards when operating in Transitional Justice settings. The study first reviews the origins and development of conference and simultaneous interpretation and the problems faced by the interpreters who serviced the Nuremberg Trials.
