Abstract
Linear smoothing between the metarule and the ‘normal’ sardine Harvest Control Rule in OMP-18 is required as the Critical Biomass threshold is approached. This document considers two alternative ranges of survey estimated biomass above the Critical Biomass threshold over which linear smoothing could be applied.
