The current study aimed to improve knowledge and understanding about the ecology, diversity and biogeography of the South African rocky shore seagrass Thalassodendron ciliatum and its associated macroalgal epiphytes. Seagrass populations were sampled at Jesser Point (Sodwana Bay) and at Maphelane, the former being larger and the southernmost populations observed, and the latter being the site of an isolated small population further south.en_ZA
