dc.description.abstractThis thesis explores the pedagogy of a single popular educator, Mike Abrams, currently practising in post-apartheid South Africa. The study aimed to describe his ideology, educational theory and practice and to explore the links between these and current social justice issues in South Africa. It also aimed to locate his practice within his personal background. Mike Abrams was chosen as the subject of the case study owing to his extensive work and commitment as a popular educator.en_ZA
