| dc.description.abstract | An Age Structured Model (ASM) was develop in which dynamic and density-dependent cannibalism was included as a top-down control on a modeled population of M. paradoxus which used spawner biomass and maternal based recruitment. The ASM was used to evaluate the effects cannibalism had on age structure, recruitment and spawner biomass of the modeled population. The development of the model was described and evaluated with special emphasis on incorporating cannibalism and maternal based recruitment. | en_ZA |
