dc.description.abstractThe dissertation presents clinical case material from a psychodynamic therapy with a 12 year-old boy. He presents with minor conduct disturbance, difficulty in affective expression and withdrawal in the context of a dysfunctional family system. The case study research addresses the following aims. It uses information collected from initial interviews with the family and subsequent therapy and feedback sessions to explore the patient’s attachment patterns. It explores the links between the patient’s attachment style and his access to and expression of affect.en_ZA
