| dc.description.abstract | Open textbook development encompasses a life cycle of activities, in which authors need to give consideration to a range of activities based on the problem they are trying to address, including authorship strategy, identification of delivery mechanisms, production and publishing approaches, quality assurance mechanisms, as well as dissemination and uptake. This interactive session introduces open textbook authors and OER practitioners to the life cycle of open textbook development, highlighting different models and approaches seen in the Digital Open Textbooks for Development project at the University of Cape Town. | en_US |
