Suna discusses the importance of extra-curricular activities in schooling, and how inclusive educators should make efforts to include visually-impaired learners in sporting and cultural activities. Suna shares examples of traditional sports (such as rock-climbing rowing) and innovative new sports (such as Goalball and Blind Cricket) that visually-impaired learners can participate in. She discusses the ways in which visually-impaired people already compete in national and international events. She closes by discussing how to introduce hesitant or nervous learners to these sports, as well as other extra-curricular activities such as clubs, societies and music bands.
