Eliz-Mari works in Touws Rivier works with children from ages to 3 - 17 who have intellectual disabilities. Eliza-Mari describes how she works with children, starting with analysing their emotional state, and then performing the various developmental work (gross motor, fine motor, etc.) she does with the children. She then discusses the challenges she faces, primarily dealing with stigma from the community. She discusses what motivates her, and then speaks about how she tries to communicate with members of the community, as well as the different kinds of physical, social, financial and emotional support that she provides as part of her care work.
