    A collection of thirteen papers dealing with various problems involving free convective flow over a vertical plate is presented. The main topics covered are the effects of surface slip on laminar free convective heat transfer, the laminar free convective flow of non-Newtonian power law fluids, the experimental determination of the effect of plate width on laminar free convective heat transfer, combined forced and free laminar convective flow and turbulent free convective flow.
