    Processing personal data may be an incidental consequence but difficult to avoid in the day to day operations of the employment relationship. Privacy in the context of the employment relationship is not a precise term but a bundle of not very specifically defined rights and expectations. Generally the main focus of privacy rights apply to the restraint of power by the state as defined in Section 14 of the South African Constitution.
