Abstract
This video focuses on the prerequisites that must be met before brain death testing can take place. The video then discusses the requirements in terms of body temperature, drug effects and blood pressure for the patient. It also describes how doctors are able to intervene. It also shows how delaying brain death testing and nerve stimulators can be used as options. The video then discusses how electrolyte disturbances might need to be corrected and how the coma should not have a metabolic and endocrine cause. This is video 6/10 in week 1 of the Organ Donation course
