Abstract

This video focuses on the procedure for brain death testing. The video lists the steps to take and then describes what to check for. The first step is to check for responsiveness. The following step is brain stem testing. The third step is to make sure there is no gag reflex. The fourth step is to check for the cough reflex. The fifth step is to check for oculovestibular reflex, also known as cold caloric reflex. The sixth step is to check if there are any facial movements in response to painful stimuli.
