Abstract
This study shows very clearly that adolescents from these particular demographic do not have the necessary skills or resources needed to cope with daily stressors in an adaptive manner. It also illuminates the lack of adequate guidance and support for adolescents from school and family. It was suggested that life skills programs be implemented, for instance, in schools that adequately guide students in the use of adaptive coping mechanisms.
