Abstract
The aim of this research project is to gain knowledge concerning farm labour in the Western Cape. Specifically, we seek to define: a) The role of Coloured people, Africans and Whites as farm workers; b) the interaction amongst the three mentioned racial groups; c) the community structure of the three racial groups; d) tendencies in migration of farm labourers and the problems arising from it; e) the social-economical position of the farm worker in the country; f) the relation between the farmer as the employer and the farm worker.
