Abstract
The objective of this study is to measure health worker motivation in a South African context. Sout Africa is a middle income developing country. Health workers consume up to 60% of public health budgets in South Africa, and yet unlike many developing countries, it is possible that resource re-allocation may lead to some drastic changes in health workers' motivation.
