- ItemOpen AccessThe use of ¹H-NMR analysis of urine to discriminate between calcium oxalate kidney stone patients and healthy controls(2001) Shadbolt, Sheila; Jackson, Graham EllisNMR has been used to study the metabolites found in body fluids, like urine, in the past three decades. It has more recently been used to study a lare range of diseases and the toxicolgoical effect of drugs on animals, by looking at metabolite patterns in the urine. The major advanteges of using NMR are that it is fast, non-invasive, non-destructive and non-equilibrium pertubing technique, allowing the detection of a diverse range of compounds in a single experiment.
