Research into this condition has to date concentrated on causality and coping strategies and there is limited knowledge of the experiences of sufferers of this condition. In-depth interviews were conducted with five participants who met the criteria for the diagnosis of CFS. The interviews were tape-recorded, transcribed verbatim and analysed, coding for thematic content.
