dc.description.abstractThe last assessment of North Pacific sei whales was performed by Tillman (1977), and seems to have been accepted by the Scientific Committee in 1974 (Gambell, 1974). The exploitable stock (440ft) is estimated to have declined from 42,000 in 1963 to 8,600 in 1974, during a period of intensive pelagic whaling.en_ZA
