Abstract
The generic position of Caralluma dodsoniana Lavranos (Asclepiadaceae) is investigated. It is concluded that a monotypic genus to accommodate it is unnecessary and that it should be incorporated into the genus PseudolithosP. R. O. Bally as P. dodsonianus (Lavranos) Bruyns & Meve.
